Sample Wedding

Welcome everyone to the wedding of ——– and ——–.This ceremony is an affirmation of the commitment that ——– and ——– have made to each other. It is a union of two spirits coming together with the common goal of blending their lives.

Their commitment to each other is already evident to all who know them and today they will form the ultimate bond of love, trust and the willingness to be there for each other, in the good times and the troubled, to secure a happy, lasting and secure married life.

I, Janette Mitchell, am duly authorized by law to solemnize this marriage according to the law of this country.

——– And ——–: Before you are joined in marriage in my presence and in the presence of witnesses, I am to remind you of the solemn and binding nature of the relationship into which you are about to enter. Marriage as most of us understand it, is the voluntary and full commitment of a man to a woman and a woman to a man. It is made in the deepest sense to the exclusion of all others, and is entered into with the desire, the hope, and the firm intention that it will last for life.

Who supports this woman in her marriage to this man?? ? I do.

(Here I would place a story of yourselves and also a message about marriage)

I can provide samples of different ceremonies if you email me at jennymit@bigpond.net.au

Love is patient, Love is kind,
It does not envy, it does not boast,
It is not proud, It is not rude,
It is not self-seeking,
It is not easily angered,
It keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil,
but rejoices with the truth.Love always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always perseveres.Love bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends.

Our Love Will Grow Stronger

By A. M Pearce

We have come so far along this road

That we have travelled together

There have been some turns that have been hard

We’ve encountered storms that we had to weather

But along that road we’ve found great joy

In great beauty we have gloried

There have been ups and there have been downs

And we have shared some stories

Whichever way the road has turned

We’ve stayed by each other’s side

Bravely through the thick and thin

On life exhilarating ride

Now the road ahead stretches before us

Twisting and turning, longer and longer

Whatever we may find on its path

Our love can only grow stronger

As family and friends of ——– and ——– we now add our blessings to the marriage. For you both we wish health, wealth and happiness. May your lives be blessed with happiness and may your path be smooth and filled with all the richness that this world has to offer. May the light always shine upon you and help your marriage to grow in strength and wisdom. But most of all we wish you Love. A love that supports you both, that fills you with great joy and that grows each day of your lives together.

APACHE BLESSING

Now you will feel no rain,

For each of you will be the shelter for the other.

Now you will feel no cold,

For each of you will be the warmth to the other.

Now there will be no loneliness

For each of you will be companion to the other.

Now you are two persons,

But there is only one life before you.

May beauty surround you both in the journey ahead,

And your days together be good and long upon the earth

Treat yourselves and each other with respect,

And remind yourselves often of what brought you together.

Give the highest priority to the tenderness, gentleness

That your connection deserves.

When frustration, difficulties and fear assail your relationship

-as they threaten all relationships at one time or another

Remember to focus on what is right between you,

Not the part which seems wrong.

In this way, you can ride out the storms

When the clouds hide the face of the sun in your lives

Remembering that even if you lose sight of it for a moment

The sun is still there.

And if each of you takes responsibility for the quality of your life together,

It will be marked by abundance and delight.

We talk about a perfect marriage. If a marriage is perfect then it would mean there was nothing more to achieve. So we do not wish for you a perfect marriage, but a marriage that is always growing and changing as you both change & grow as individual people, which will make the marriage strong and prosperous.

The Vows

——– And ——–, I ask that you now face each other and hold hands. ——–, I ask that you now repeat these vows after me.

I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, ——–, choose you, ——–, to be my lawful wedded wife, secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I affirm to you in the presence these witnesses my pledge to stay by your side as your husband in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times and the bad. I promise to love you without reservation, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind and spirit, always be open and honest with you, and cherish you for as long as we both shall live.

——–, I ask you now to repeat your vows after me.

I call upon the persons here present to witness that I, ——– take thee, ——–, to be my lawful wedded husband, secure in the knowledge that you will be my constant friend, my faithful partner in life, and my one true love. On this special day, I affirm to you in the presence these witnesses my pledge to stay by your side as your wife in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as well as through the good times and the bad. The Rings

It is time for the blessings of the rings.

May these rings be blessed as the symbol of this loving unity. These two lives are now joined in the one unbroken circle. Wherever you may go, may you always return to one another in your togetherness. May you find in each other the love for which all men and women yearn, and may you grow in understanding and compassion. Make your home be a place of sanctuary that will be filled with love and blessings and may these rings, as you wear them, symbolize the love, which shines from your eyes this day.

——–, take this ring that you wish to give to ——–, and say your special vows to ——– as you place this ring on her finger.

——–?s vows for —————-,

Couples write their own vows or pledge of love and commitment

Sand Ceremony

——– and ——–, you have committed to share the rest of your lives with each other. Today, this relationship is symbolised through the pouring of these two individual containers of sand. One, representing you ——–, and all that you were, and all that you are, and, all that you will ever be, and the other representing you ——–, and all that you were, all that you are, and all that you ever will be

As these two containers of sand are poured into the empty container, the individual containers of sand will no longer exist, but will be joined together as one. Each of you uniting and becoming one.

——– and ——– pour the sand.

Just as these grains of sand can never be separated, so too let nothing separate the joining of your two souls by this marriage.

In front of these witnesses I ask you ——– if you will honour the promises you have made to ——– on this first day of your married life.

I WILL

In front of these witnesses I ask you ——– if you will honour the promises you have made to ——– on this first day of your married life.

I WILL

To ——– and ——–

——– and ——–, May you hold the peace of this moment in your minds, and return to it whenever you need a source of strength and inspiration in your lives.

You have declared before all of us that you will live together in marriage. You have made special promises to each other, which have been symbolized by the joining of hands, taking of vows, the giving and receiving of two rings and the pouring of the sand.

By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you to be husband and wife.

You may kiss the bride
